Housing and Accommodations are varied in San Francisco and consist of living with an American Host Family (American Home Stays), living in a Residence Club or Student Apartment, or finding a roommate and living in a Youth Hostel.
The Academy offers a variety of student services from assistance in opening a bank account to applying to colleges and universities for acceptance.
Each class takes a field trip every month. There are many places to visit in San Francisco, including the Asian Art Museum, the Exploratorium, the Metronome, the Palace of Find Arts, etc. Each quarter the Academy also sponsors an excursion to such places as Monterey Bay and Carmel.
Students intending to stay in the U.S. for more than a month should apply for an F-1 Student Visa through their local U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
There are many websites that tell you what is happening in the City. There are also live web cams that allow you to view the City in real time.
The American Academy is an Official ETS Test Center, offering the TOEIC, ibTOEFL, and the Institutional TOEFL on a regular basis.
