Local Fieldtrips
Bring your camera! There is a lot to see and do in San Francisco. Every
month students have the opportunity to go out on field trips around the
City. Popular places to visit include the California Palace of the Legion
of Honor (featuring Rococo period French painters, Impressionists, and
Rodin sculptures); The California Academy of Sciences (including the Steinhart
Aquarium, Morrison Planetarium, and the Natural History Museum); the Japanese
Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park; the De Young Museum; the Exploratorium;
the National Maritime Museum; Moma; and the Chinese Cultural Center. Nob
Hill and Twin Peaks provide panoramic views of the City.
Trips
to Monterey
Every quarter the Academy takes students for a trip to Carmel-Monterey.
Along the way, we often stop at San Juan Baptista Mission or visit the
Mystery Spot in sunny Santa Cruz. When we reach Monterey we visit the
Monterey Bay Aquarium and the famous 17Mile Drive near Pebble Beach.
